Students from Year 4 – 6 from Primary and Secondary school students to participate in this exciting competition. The two most competent students will receive Climate Change Scientist Award.
In category A, students can speak about the any or more of the a scientific investigation or develop a model about a topic that is of interest to them OR they can present / display new inventions in the category B.

Contest Rules
ELIGIBILITY:
Primary School students, Secondary School students
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
- Register for the Contest
- Submit your Project assets (drawing, poster, video)
PARTICIPATION RULES:
To be eligible for an award, 3 student team must present their findings observing the following conditions:
- Form A to be filled by Primary students and Form B to be filled for projects from Secondary Schools.
- Entries must be the student team’s own work.
- Students are encouraged to seek support and assistance from teachers, parents or any other relevant parties for their projects or invention.
- Entries may be submitted by teams of students. A team must consist of no more than three (3) members.
- Projects involving potentially hazardous biological agents, chemicals, activities or devices, will not be allowed.
- All projects are required to highlight human values and ethics related to the projects or inventions displayed. The human values highlighted via the project may be related to peace, nonviolence, right conduct, righteousness, truth, love, compassion, humility, honesty, respect, responsibility, etc. The human value must be illustrated clearly with the display in a poster format. For the rest, please check the links provided for more examples.
- Each student will receive a certificate of participation.
- Judges’ decisions are final.
DEADLINES & DATES:
Registration Submission: Aug 20th, 2023.
Registration Acceptance: Sep 18th, 2023.
Announcement of selected Teams: Sep 25th, 2023.
Video Submission: Oct 14th, 2023.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGEMENT
- Category A – Primary Schools
Team: 2-3 students
In this category, students may display science project (poster, drawing) and a Video (2-3 mins)
Focus Topics:
Impact of climate change
Human actions and solutions for climate change (scientific ways of solving the problems today)
Human values (choose values such as love for the environment, preserving and nurturing nature, good behaviour)

Examples are: Rivers and Oceans, Natural disaster, Poverty, Equality, Living beings
- Category B – Secondary Schools
Team: 2-3 students
In this category, students may display their product to solve a particular problem. The invention may include knowledge from modern or traditional sciences & technology. The knowledge content must integrate human values and Ethics

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOLS:
- Eligible categories: Primary & Secondary Schools
- Please choose the relevant category (Primary or Secondary) and submit your registration. Last date for registration is 20th August, 2023.
- There is no limit on the number of entries a school can submit. However, schools are encouraged to conduct their own judging and send their best projects / models / inventions.
- Students are encouraged to seek support and assistance from teachers, parents or any other relevant parties for their projects or invention.
- Each student entry must be submitted and endorsed by their school on their entry documentation.
TEACHERS AND PARENTS – HOW TO HELP YOUNG SCIENTIST
- Teachers and parents may encourage students by suggesting and identifying potential science projects, models and investigations.
- Parents are encouraged to guide the student to register.
- All entries are FREE, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.
- Parents are kindly requested to assist the student to fill in the registration forms and submit to the teachers before the due date.
